Drexel's Undergraduate Student Government Association is still looking for student leaders to fill our four open positions. If you are hardworking, dedicated, and looking to get involved at Drexel, please consider filling out an application (found on our website) to join our team.
The open positions are:
- Transfer Student Representative
- Goodwin College of Professional Studies Representative
- College of Information Science and Technology (IST) Representative
- College of Nursing and Health Professions Representative
Applications should be submitted to Inga Arnopolin at ia55@drexel.edu or to the Dean of Students Office by 5 PM on July 2nd, 2010. The Dean of Students Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Creese Student Center. The voting members of the USGA will elect these officers for the remainder of the 2009-10 academic year.

After a grueling two weeks of campaigning and online voting, amassing a total of nearly 1600 votes, the results are in. Unlike most recent years, the contested races this year were extremely tight, and were decided by, in multiple cases, less than 50 votes. Regardless, the student body has spoken and has elected the following:
President: Lucas Hippel
Vice President (Appointed): Robert Kudart
Archivist: Olivia McDonnell
Media and Marketing Director: Chris Montepara
Events Director: Mike O’Connor
Personnel Director: Inga Arnopolin
Technology Director: Scott Weiss
College of Business Representative: Marek Hlinka
College of Engineering Representative: Adam Daniels
Co-Op Representative: Omer Hashmi
College of Arts and Sciences Representative: Muhammad Sattaur
College of Media Arts and Design Representative: Fred Knittel
Commuter Representative: Lilly Hippel
Residential Representative: Jon Stanley
Athletics Representative: Blake Bostick
International Representative: Tony Fu
For the President position, the elections ended in a dead tie at 562-562, prompting the summoning of the entire USGA Board this Sunday May 16th at 8pm for a vote to determine who the best candidate is. Location will be McAlister 2019. Each candidate will have the opportunity to speak why they are the best candidate for the next year, and will answer any audience and USGA officer questions.
Write-ins will be appointed, sworn-in and announced before the term is over.

UPDATE: On Sunday, May 16th, Lucas Hippel was elected Drexel USGA President by the Joint Assembly at an emergency meeting to break the tie.

Elections for the Undergraduate Student Government Association will open on Thursday May 6th at 8am and will be closing on Thursday May 13th at 5pm. Elections will be online at www.drexel.edu/usga/vote and at the various voting booths around campus starting THIS THURSDAY and extending to May 13th.
The USGA is composed of student leaders overseeing specific colleges or student life communities at Drexel. In addition, some students represent internal positions of the USGA related to day-to-day operations and activities of the USGA. A complete list of positions and their job duties can be found

5th Annual Commuter Car Show!

Commuters! Show off your wheels!
All participants will receive a $5.00 Smart Card for participating. The top three winners of the show could win
great prizes! Some of the fabulous prizes last year included: a TomTom GPS System, Firestone Car Care
Package, BP Gas Gift Care, REVZILLA Gift Card, $50.00 Smart Card, or even a FREE parking spot for a term.
We are taking the Car Show online! This year Drexel community members will be able to vote for their favorite
cars/bikes at the Show as well as online.

Class Description: Show your school spirit and artistic ability through your car or bike. Dress it up with anything
from stickers, decals, paint, etc, use your imagination. Demonstrate your Dragon Pride!

Class Description: Drexel has some of the best engineering talent around so how off your innovative vehicle/
motor bike. Your entry could be anything from personally constructing your vehicle to sustainable features you
added to make the car more energy efficient.
