USGA Elections Recap

After a grueling two weeks of campaigning and online voting, amassing a total of nearly 1600 votes, the results are in. Unlike most recent years, the contested races this year were extremely tight, and were decided by, in multiple cases, less than 50 votes. Regardless, the student body has spoken and officers have been elected.

Elections for the Undergraduate Student Government Association will open on Thursday May 6th at 8am and will be closing on Thursday May 13th at 5pm. Elections will be online at www.drexel.edu/usga/vote and at the various voting booths around campus starting THIS THURSDAY and extending to May 13th.

Players on the Magee Eagles team of Philadelphia will demonstrate the sport’s intensity. If you don’t believe what you see, you too will have the chance to sit in the athletic chairs, crashing and colliding your way to the goal line!

Thursday, March 11th, Sigma Phi Epsilon will be holding the St. Baldrick's benefit concert in the Drexel Armory from 6-11 pm. This is Drexel SigEp's 4th annual benefit concert for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Since 2007, Drexel SigEp has raised over $50,000 by holding head shavings and benefit concerts.

Below are listed the awards that will be presented at this year's Student Life Banquet. These awards are selected by members in the Engagement and Operations Assembly of Drexel USGA, but the assembly is looking for nominees from all members of USGA and the student body. Please read over the descriptions of each award, and reply only to the EOA chair, Roy Feliciano (rfeliciano@drexelusga.org), with any nominations you would like to make. If you have a reason you would like to express for your nomination, it is encouraged that you include that in your reply to Roy as well so the assembly can include it in its deliberations for the winners.

USGA College Day at the Recreation Center

We will be celebrating the opening of the new Drexel Recreation Center today, Saturday, February 20, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. Students from all colleges and schools are invited to check out the Rec Center, including the courts, classes and climbing wall!!! The event will include music, free food and raffles for a Nintendo Wii and sports equipment.
