After a grueling two weeks of campaigning and online voting, amassing a total of nearly 1600 votes, the results are in. Unlike most recent years, the contested races this year were extremely tight, and were decided by, in multiple cases, less than 50 votes. Regardless, the student body has spoken and has elected the following:

President: Lucas Hippel

Vice President (Appointed): Robert Kudart

Archivist: Olivia McDonnell
Media and Marketing Director: Chris Montepara
Events Director: Mike O’Connor
Personnel Director: Inga Arnopolin
Technology Director: Scott Weiss

College of Business Representative: Marek Hlinka
College of Engineering Representative: Adam Daniels
Co-Op Representative: Omer Hashmi
College of Arts and Sciences Representative: Muhammad Sattaur
College of Media Arts and Design Representative: Fred Knittel

Commuter Representative: Lilly Hippel
Residential Representative: Jon Stanley
Athletics Representative: Blake Bostick
International Representative: Tony Fu

For the President position, the elections ended in a dead tie at 562-562, prompting the summoning of the entire USGA Board this Sunday May 16th at 8pm for a vote to determine who the best candidate is. Location will be McAlister 2019. Each candidate will have the opportunity to speak why they are the best candidate for the next year, and will answer any audience and USGA officer questions.

Write-ins will be appointed, sworn-in and announced before the term is over.

For more information, contact USGA Elections Chair, Shams Naim, at ssn25@drexel.edu.

UPDATE:  On Sunday, May 16th, Lucas Hippel was elected Drexel USGA President by the Joint Assembly at an emergency meeting to break the tie.
